Join us for Regular Worship, Sundays at 10:30 am. We are presently meeting in Broach Hall during the sanctuary renovation.
Worship
life at St. John's is at the core of our community. It is
what brings us together in faith and service. Regular participation
in worship sustains both the individual and the congregation
seeking to live out God's purpose in the world. Our worship
services are thematically structured in traditional forms,
enhanced by special services during the season of Advent,
on Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, and Thanksgiving
Eve.
During
Sunday worship services, infants
and preschoolers follow their own program of
care and Christian education. Children in grades K - 5 participate
in Worship Education.
Ours
is a singing faith, and our largest choir is our congregation.
During the course of our worship, we sing a variety of hymns
and songs as an expression of our broadening faith. We do
have other choirs, however, that lead us in worship regularly.
