Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing reflections from the students who went on the mission trip to New York City last month.
This week, we hear from Parker, son of Lindsay and Chip.
What was your favorite part of the trip?
I’d say my favorite part of the trip was the other group, I made a lot of friends since both groups were decently small.
What was challenging?
It was challenging dealing with very hot weather conditions for such a long time, like serving hotdogs outside in 95-degree weather for 3 hours.
What did you learn?
I learned that many people have trouble with getting food, and these food pantries and services are a large help to the homeless community.
How did you see God?
I saw God through the workers and leaders in the community, with people like Lisa helping out at the Broadway Community and taking charge of a giant group of people to help give out food to others.
