St. John’s Academy of the Arts exists to offer quality music instruction to the community through special classes and private lessons throughout the year.
Right now, we are a host for Kindermusik with Missy on Saturdays and Wednesdays for ages 3 months-4 years.
In every Kindermusik class, you’re welcomed into a playful and nurturing environment where your child will experience music of varying styles, genres, and cultures. They’ll interact with other children and engage in movement, rhythm, and vocal activities that develop far more than just music skills. Our approach to early childhood education and award-winning, research-based, and developmentally appropriate curricula prime children for success in school and in life.
Missy Wilson is the instructor of each class. Here is a word from Missy:
“I’m so glad you’ve chosen Kindermusik to help your little ones grow and explore! I have witnessed firsthand the power that music can have on children. I have 2 children of my own, who LOVE to learn through music! I hold a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Music Education, which allowed me to transform the lives of school-age children through music and movement for nearly 2 decades. When my 2 boys came into the scene, I discovered the fun that can come with making music with very young children, which is why I’m now teaching Kindermusik classes! I opened Kindermusik with Missy in 2017 and the rest is history! I’m looking forward to being not only your child’s music class teacher, but also your educational coach, helping you understand how your child is developing musically, cognitively, and socially.
