St. John’s Baptist Church

Mallory Brown
Media Coordinator
Mallory began her work as an Administrative Assistant at St. John’s in September of 2018 after years of working ministry roles at various churches in Cleveland County and Mecklenburg County. When she began her work, she took on the administrative tasks required and slowly started giving attention to the online and social media presence St. John’s had. She sees social media and websites as a vital tool for ministry in our current age and is committed to helping St. John’s improve and maximize the digital space so that more people, in Charlotte and beyond, know about the inclusive compassion and affirming message St. John’s has to share. St. John’s is such a resource and place of safety, solace, and healing for our world.

After working until 2021 as our Administrative Assistant, she has transitioned to a part-time, remote position as our Media Coordinator and loves being able to spend time with her daughter while still being able to do the work she loves - handling all aspects of our messaging and media such as the church newsletter, all social media platforms, print materials, and the website.

She is a graduate of Appalachian State University (Elementary Education) and the School of Divinity at Gardner-Webb University (M.Div. in Christian Education).

Mallory lives in Shelby, NC with her husband, Ben, her daughter and son, and their cats.
