Kindermusik Curriculum

Our Kindermusik Instructor: Missy Wilson
I’m so glad you’ve chosen Kindermusik to help your little ones grow and explore! I have witnessed first hand the power that music can have on children. I have 2 children of my own, who LOVE to learn through music! I hold a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Music Education, which allowed me to transform the lives of school age children through music and movement for nearly 2 decades. When my 2 boys came into the scene, I discovered the fun that can come with making music with very young children, which is why I’m now teaching Kindermusik classes! I opened Kindermusik with Missy in 2017 and the rest is history! I’m looking forward to being not only your child’s music class teacher, but also your educational coach, helping you understand how your child is developing musically, cognitively, and socially. About Our Team
In addition to being fun and musical, all Kindermusik educators undergo a rigorous 4-month training program to learn the pedagogical and musical concepts that the Kindermusik curriculum is built upon. We carefully follow crafted lesson plans that were written by early childhood experts including music teachers, child psychologists, and preschool teachers. Our educators also are required to participate in ongoing professional development to continually improve the classroom learning experience for both children and adults in the class. We are all background-checked and many of our educators are private lesson teachers and/or professional performers as well. You won’t find anyone else teaching early childhood music in Charlotte with those qualifications!
Current Kindermusik Classes & What to Expect
Foundations: 3-13 months
The Foundations class is so much more than lullabies and swaying. We teach families how sound exploration, listening activities, and dances help babies communicate, stimulate eye-tracking skills, and learn to move and coordinate new muscles.
Level 1: 1s and young 2s
Kindermusik Level 1 classes give young toddlers room to explore! This special group experience gives toddlers a chance to learn new movement and language skills through dance, creative movement, echo songs, and more.
Level 2: older 2s -3s + siblings
Have a very independent toddler? Want them to be more independent? Level 2 classes give toddlers the opportunity to express their own ideas and creativity. They’ll learn new vocabulary, play instruments, and do things “their own way,” while making cognitive strides.
