Greetings St. John’s.
Due to deteriorating weather conditions and potential hazards due to power outages, flooding, fallen trees, etc., we will not gather this Sunday. While I never enjoy making this kind of decision, it seems best on this occasion. Our weather forecasters are telling us the worst of our weather will occur tonight and tomorrow morning. Our city leaders and first responders are needing to know our roads and streets are clear for their vehicles and emergency efforts. Please be safe and let me know if you learn of any of our folks who have needs we should address during this storm.
If you want to do so, you can go view the worship guide we would have followed this Sunday. Also, a copy of the message manuscript I would have offered on Sunday is available on the website. Let us be our usual servant church self as we look for ways to be helpful by checking on our neighbors and offering assistance wherever we can do so.
