During 2023, St. John’s gave $2,000 toward a fresh water well project in Shenge, Sierra Leone. The residents of Shenge were walking several miles and carrying water back to their village. We partnered with our sister congregation, Together in Christ Internationals Ministries (TICIM), for this effort. TICIM gathers in our Chapel each Sunday. On occasion, throughout the year, we worship together.
TICIM is a mission effort supported by North Carolina Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and is pastored by Rev. Brickson Sam and his wife, Annie. Shenge is the home village of Annie Sam. The village has made tremendous progress, as you can see in these photos. We share in the rejoicing of the people of Shenge and TICIM.
